Figuring the Value of Lake Homes

"Lake living" - a lifestyle. A special speed. A unique breed.

I've been a city-dweller for almost 15 years, packing up to visit Lake Martin on weekends. Now I'm engulfed in the way it works here, and it is fabulous.
A market value to its own, as well. Your first time looking at waterfront properties will surprise you. . . it's not the "four walls and foundation" that determines the price. . . instead, water depth, view, commute-by-boat, and the level of the lot.
A bit of a 180 from buying a primary residence, perhaps, and a bit of a sticker shock if you've been looking at homes without water as your front yard. Expect to pay $2,000 a waterfront foot. More if you desire year-round deep water.
We'll discuss your purpose for your lake home first and discuss price range and financing options later . . . if you've questioned hiring an experts for real estate before, reconsider for this purchase. Whether you're tiptoeing into the market, plan on leaving a legacy for generations, or just kicking tires, call me . . . let's make it happen!
