Catherine's Market
I just became a breakfast person . . . at Catherine's Market on lovely Lake Martin.
750 miles of lakefront property . . . my new sales territory. I'm the Lake Martin real estate expert with Lake Martin Voice Realty. First stop today - Catherine's Market on Hwy 63.
"Whatever you do, do well" must be the motto here. My fruit is fresh, and cut to a perfect size, the cheese grits (I'll never make the mistake of a cup rather than a bowl again) are out of this world, and the sausage is fantastic. Even the ice is good here. All for around $6.
Ambience - tastefully lake-ish
Service - on tope of it
Noise level - surrounded by happy folks who are delighted to be at the lake
This is the "fancy" grocery stop on the west side of Lake Martin. For wine, cheese, pepared dishses, and a meat/seafood counter. Catherine's has your gourmet selection. It is also the only grocery store on Lake Martin you can get to by boat.
Take your time when here - there's a playground, horse farm, area to let your dog romp. Spring House restaurant is also in this vicinity. It's a treat, especially on the (rare) rainy day at the lake.
