How to "Lake" in the Winter

You don't have to don a bikini and lather up with sunscreen to enjoy the lake.

Why lots of "lake-livers" enjoy the fall and winter best on the water:

Retreat - It is quiet. It is gorgeous. It is peaceful. It is not 110 degrees. You can probably see every star in the sky from your lake home.
Nature - Blue heron, deer, wild turkey, fox, beaver, owl . . . they come out to play when the weather cools down. It is amazing when you see them in action.
Water - It is still . . . even when early morning fog is eerily rolling off the surface. Water levels are low . . . giving homeowners maintenance time for seawalls, docks, and piers.
Foliage - You get scenery "2 for the price of 1" because everything is reflected on the water.
A landing spot - Lakes are in rural areas. Making time to hobby is a perk . . . want to bake but no time at home? Always wanted to sew but no room in your homestead? You know you need to get out and walk, but your neighborhood isn't conducive? All those excuses stay at home.
